The Prince Edward Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) recently held a draw targeting foreign skilled workers and entrepreneurs. This marked PEI's inaugural invitation round for September.
On September 21, 2023, the latest PEI PNP draw took place, extending invitations to 157 individuals, spanning both the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur and Labor & Express Entry categories.
This draw is in line with the Prince Edward Island PNP's anticipated draw timeline for 2023.
PEI PNP Draw: Who received invites?
Labor and Express Entry: 153 Invites with a lowest score of 55. Business and Work Permit Entrepreneur: 4 Invites starting at a score of 80.
*For the September 21 draw, Invitations to Apply (ITAs) under the Critical Worker Stream went out to those affiliated with a PEI-based employer, having an EOI score not less than 55. Foreign professionals with at least two years of relevant experience in semi-skilled or unskilled roles can qualify for the Critical Worker stream within the PEI PNP.
Last 12 month, the Prince Edward Island PNP issued 2,535 invitations to Labor and Express Entry claimants and 77 invitations under the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur category.

PEI PNP Application Process:
Joining the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP)
Step 1 –Confirm Eligibility: Before beginning your application, determine your compatibility with the PEI PNP requirements.
Step 2 –Have an Active Express Entry Profile: A valid Express Entry profile within the Express Entry pool is a prerequisite for PEI PNP.
Step 3 –Develop a PEI Expression of Interest (EOI) Profile: Express your interest by preparing a PEI Expression of Interest (EOI) profile, which indicates your intention to participate.
Step 4 –Patiently Wait for an ITA: After activating your EOI profile, wait for the Invitation to Apply (ITA) by the decision makers of the PEI PNP.
Step 5 – Collate and Submit Documents: Upon receiving the ITA, organize and send your application materials as per the guidelines provided. Also, include the required payment with your submission.
Step 6 –Submit Application in a Timely Manner: After provincial nomination, make sure you submit your application for Canadian permanent residence, including associated fees, within the 180-day period.
Step 7 –Provide Passport: After receiving the Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) notification, go to the Visa Application Center for passport presentation.
