Overview Of Manitoba PNP Draw For Region-Specific Candidates
On August 31, 2023, Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) carried out a unique draw as part of its Expression of Interest (EOI) framework.
This recent selection event resulted in 288 candidates getting invitations to apply under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba category. To qualify for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency in Canada, participants needed a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of at least 600.
This draw was a first for Manitoba, specifically targeting Skilled Workers in the province’s various regions.

In this round, 127 out of the 288 invitations were extended to individuals who had a legit Express Entry profile and job-seeking code.
This draw on the last day of August is in line with Manitoba's ongoing trend of rolling out consecutive rounds featuring more ITAs and lower CRS thresholds. The activity this year makes it clear that Manitoba aims to grow its pool of potential nominees through MPNP-controlled avenues.
Skilled Workers in Manitoba: Quick Look
Local demands guide Manitoba’s Skilled Worker routes, encompassing both “Overseas Skilled Workers” and "Skilled Workers in Manitoba.” The province cherry-picks experienced global workers whose skill sets align with the needs of local employers, recommending them for Canadian permanent residency.
Invitations for full application submission to MPNP are routinely sent to the top-ranking profiles. While draws usually happen every two weeks, some exceptions do occur depending on MPNP's application backlog.
Currently, the time frame for moving to Canada under Manitoba's Provincial Nominee Program ranges between 8 and 12 months.
