French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream: Overview of the Procedure
Navigating the entire immigration procedure to Canada through the Ontario French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream could be managed by an applicant within roughly 12 months, potentially even earlier. Here is a step-by-step guide of the whole process:
- STEP 1: Qualify for the FSWC or the CEC (note that candidates qualifying solely under the Federal Skilled Trades Class aren't eligible for this stream).
- STEP 2: Establish an Express Entry profile.
- STEP 3: Meet the requirements set by the Ontario French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream.
- STEP 4: Receive a NOI from the OINP (note that not every eligible applicant might be issued a NOI).
- STEP 5: Submit your application to the OINP for a provincial nomination certificate within 45 days of receiving the NOI.
- STEP 6: Secure a provincial nomination from the OINP.
- STEP 7: Gain 600 additional CRS points and an invite to apply for Canada PR during a future draw from the pool.
- STEP 8: Lodge an application for permanent residence within 60 days after obtaining the ITA.
- STEP 9: Become a permanent Canadian resident.
It's essential to recognize that the OINP is a competitive process, and merely meeting the eligibility requirements doesn't guarantee a nomination. Thus, it's crucial to make sure your application is as robust as it can be by providing all necessary documentation and representing your skills and experience in the best possible manner.
