Criteria for targeted invitations to the Skills Immigration streams may encompass:
Level and field of education and completion location
Recognized professional designations in B.C.
Proficiency in languages
Occupation
Length and skill level of work experience
Salary and/or skill level of job offer
Intent to live, work, and establish residence in a specific region
Strategic priorities - factors fulfilling specific labor market needs in B.C. or backing governmental pilot projects and initiatives
The BC PNP uses a point system called the BC PNP points calculator to rank registered candidates. Only those candidates with the highest scores will receive invitations to apply to the Skills Immigration stream.
