The first round of invitations for the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) took place in October, marking a major step forward by the Province of Ontario in its quest to attract international graduates to enhance its diverse and thriving workforce.

On October 30, 2023, the most recent Ontario PNP draw took place, resulting in invitations being issued to 1,117 individuals under the Masters Graduate Stream and PhD Graduate Stream. To qualify, international graduates need to score a minimum of 42 or higher.

Utilizing an Expression of Interest (EOI) system, the OINP selects potential candidates who might satisfy the requirements for one of its immigration streams. Should you be selected from the pool of candidates, an invitation to apply will be sent to your OINP e‑Filing Portal account.

Each week, invitations are sent to those who meet the criteria, although sometimes there are exceptions. The timing, scale and date of subsequent OINP draws are dependent on Ontario's application inventory requirements at that specific time.

Upon receiving your invitation to apply, you are able to submit your application online if you meet the requirements of the specified stream. You must complete this step within 14 days of receiving the invitation.
