Applying for the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) draw involves several steps. Below is a generalized process that applicants typically follow:
• Eligibility Check: Make sure you meet the eligibility criteria for one of these streams: Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Abroad, or the International Education stream.
• Expression of Interest (EOI): File an Expression of Interest (EOI) with the MPNP. This is an online profile that includes your language ability, work experience, education, and other details.
• EOI Ranking: Your EOI will be ranked based on a point system. Higher scores increase the chances of receiving an invitation to apply for provincial nomination.
• Invitation to Apply (ITA): If your EOI is among the highest-ranked, you will receive an ITA during one of the MPNP draws.
• Application Submission: After receiving the ITA, you have a specified amount of time to submit the completed application to the MPNP.
• Document Preparation: Prepare all necessary documents, including language test results, educational assessments, work experience documents, and others as specified by the MPNP.
• Nomination: If your application is approved, you'll receive a nomination from Manitoba which allows you to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
• Federal Application: Apply for permanent residence to the Government of Canada as a Provincial Nominee. You must submit your application online and provide all requested documents.
• Application Review: Your submission will be evaluated by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). This process includes background checks and may take several months.
• Approval: Upon approval, you will receive your permanent resident status and can begin or continue living in Manitoba.
