Canada 🍁adopts fresh measures to enhance its immigration system
The unveiling of the Immigration Levels Plan 2024-2026 comes after Canada introduced a new strategy to upgrade its immigration system. On October 31, Immigration Minister Marc Miller acknowledged the system's shortcomings and presented the main components of a fresh approach to modernizing it.
Titled An Immigration System for Canada's Future, the new framework has three pivotal objectives:
- ✪ Craft a more inviting entry process for new arrivals
- ✪ Synchronize immigration with the demands of the job market
- ✪ Formulate a thorough and unified expansion strategy
IRCC aims to offer a better and more intuitive experience to its users.
Additionally, IRCC seeks to ensure that immigration policies are more closely integrated with Canada's employment and skills strategies.
Lastly, IRCC is attempting to establish a collaborative plan with all three levels of Canadian governance to ensure that newcomers have access to adequate housing, health services and infrastructure.
